Happy May Day!

May 1st

Besides being a day to celebrate all the beauty associated with flowers, May Day in Greece and in many parts of the world, is International Workers Day, or Labor Day. Workers' groups and Unions can be active this day by holding rallies or strikes.

To honor the beauty and abundance of Spring, people gather flowers to make wreaths to adorn their doors or to wear around their heads.

Here is a picture of a beautiful wreath Dini made on a previous May Day.
