Monthly Dinner Special

Greek Ribs & Garlic Prawns

This dinner special pairs our house-favorite Greek ribs with some succulent prawns to make a delicious dinner combination.

This month's special starts off with one of our delicious Greek salads (romaine lettuce, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, red onions, olives and our homemade Greek vinaigrette dressing) and house garlic bread.

For the main course, enjoy our popular and tasty Greek style ribs accompanied with 3 garlic prawns. The tender baby back ribs are topped with our homemade lemon Greek sauce and the prawns are sauteed in a delicious garlic butter sauce. Served with your choice of rice pilaf or potatoes.

Suggested Wine: Retsina White Wine

New Year's Tradition: Cutting of the Vasilopita Cake

January 1st is the Greek Saint's Day for Saint Vasilis (Basil). Everyone with that name is celebrated that day (Vasilis, Vasiliki, Vivian, Vicky, Vaso, Basil, Bill). And tradition calls for making a Vasilopita cake with a hidden coin baked inside that will give good luck to the recipient of that piece. A slice of cake is specifically cut for each member of the family and any friends present at the time (going in order of oldest to youngest). Special pieces are also cut for symbolic religious figures, like the Lord, or to represent shelter, like the family home. It's a sweet Greek tradition to kick off the new year!
