Monthly Dinner Special

Grecian Tour

This month's special takes you on a tour of fresh flavors and traditional Greek recipes.

This special begins with delicious and warm pita bread & yogurt-garlic tzatziki sauce for dipping as well as a small Greek salad with all the trimmings (romaine lettuce, feta cheese, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, olives and Greek vinaigrette dressing). The tour continues with the main entree which includes a combination of some of our traditional Greek food: a chicken skewer, 1 spanakopita, and homemade rice pilaf.

Greece in May

This month starts off with a bang as Greeks celebrate "May Day" on the first of the month. A national labor holiday, this day is marked with parades and the Feast of the Flowers, as Greeks show their appreciation for the beauty of Spring. This type of celebration dates back to ancient times when festivals were held in honor of the goddess Demeter. As the goddess of Agriculture, Demeter was believed to control the fertility of the earth.

May 18th is International Monuments Day and all admission to museums and archaeological sites is free!

The mainland weather is warm, sometimes hot and the coastal and island temperatures are very pleasantly warm with light cool breezes. With the main tourism season still not officially underway, this is a great time of year to visit Greece and avoid a lot of the crowds and lines.
